Christina Anifadi

Managing Director

When Christos invited me to join the ELC admin team in 1991, I never imagined it would become my lifelong calling. Now, as the Managing Director of ELC Anifadis, I see our school as an extension of my own family. My passion for people drives me to ensure that every student, teacher, staff member, and parent feels valued and supported.

Each day, I find joy in watching our students grow—being curious in their learning, creative in their thinking, and courageous in tackling new challenges, all while embracing kindness and recognizing it in others. Leading and being part of a dedicated team committed to intellectual growth, emotional well-being and a true sense of belonging is both an honor and a privilege.  My greatest motivation comes from serving our students' needs, which is why I am always searching, learning, and working toward enhancing their experience. At ELC, we place our students at the heart of everything we do, blending an entrepreneurial mindset with an authentic, holistic approach to learning.

I would love to welcome you to ELC Anifadis, show you around, and get to know you.

Christopher Pye

Academic Manager

My teaching experience began way back in 1996 with my CELTA qualification leading me into teaching posts in Portugal, Spain and Sweden, summer school work in the UK and ultimately gaining a job as an EAP tutor at Leicester University.  Having finished my MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics, my Greek adventure began in 2007 when I trained to be a Cambridge oral examiner as well as started teaching at ELC. I now enjoy my role as the DOS at the school, guiding the academic team into new adventures. One of the most rewarding responsibilities for me these days is, with the help of the Project Zero Harvard course, helping teachers to see challenges and the development of critical thinking as the way forward in our teaching. Much as I enjoy my leadership role though, I am truly a teacher at heart. Teaching, for me, means being a leader, a listener and stimulating our students’ curiosity, motivating the children to reach their full potential as language learners.

The beauty of the French language captivated me from the very first lesson I took at the French Institute when I was eight years old, and it led me to the Department of French Language and Literature at the University of Athens at the age of eighteen. Since then, teaching French has felt like a natural choice for me. Sharing the richness of the French language with students of all ages brings me joy and deepens my love for both the language itself and the rich history and culture of the Francophone world.

Teaching, to me, is so much more than passing on knowledge. It’s about helping students believe in themselves, building their confidence, and showing them the true value of learning a foreign language. Reaching their minds starts with reaching their hearts—understanding their concerns, earning their trust, and showing genuine interest in their growth. It’s about making them feel capable and inspiring them to believe they can achieve their goals, no matter the challenges ahead.
