With 35 years of experience in exam preparation, I have honed the art of guiding teenagers toward academic success. My approach is rooted in personalised, engaging methods that foster confidence and motivation, always within a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. Teaching, for me, is a source of renewal, a way to keep the mind young and open to endless possibilities. It’s a two-way journey, where I continue to learn and draw inspiration from my students every step of the way.

As a CELTA-certified EFL teacher with 5+ years of experience from Ireland, I am eager to help students learn English and world knowledge in a constructive and thought-provoking way through my own personal and professional knowledge and experiences from travelling around the world, studying in the field of science at university, and of course academic and professional experiences in the field of education. My best memories are of when students discover, learn, and grow their own innate abilities whilst learning English in a positive environment using methods and advice from courses that create a positive learning environment such as Harvard's "Cultures of Thinking" course.

I am a TEFL qualified teacher with two years’ experience as an ESL teacher and over 4 years’ experience as a professional facilitator and job coach to young adults with disabilities. I am passionate about teaching, and my aforesaid experience has allowed me to develop a dynamic approach to teaching students of varying backgrounds.

Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of teaching students from more than 50 countries, witnessing firsthand how mastering the English language can open countless doors for learners of all ages. As someone with Scottish heritage and a BA Honours degree in Politics, I bring a unique perspective to my teaching, enriching the learning experience for my students. I am deeply committed to creating an open and relaxed classroom environment where students feel empowered to thrive. For me, teaching is about fostering a learning experience that is not only effective but also enjoyable and fulfilling. My goal is to inspire students to embrace the journey of learning English, unlocking their potential along the way. 

After completing a BA in French and Japanese and an HND in Education, I returned to Greece and collaborated with museums in Athens, designing and implementing educational programmes. For the past 12 years, I have been an English teacher and, at the same time, a trainer for the British Council in various programmes centered around cultivating life skills, active citizenship and inclusion. For me, teaching English goes beyond the language itself—it’s about sparking lifelong curiosity and building essential skills. My background in informal education, experiences living abroad, and love for working with children shape my open-minded approach to the classroom, embracing the unique potential of every student. I strive to ignite imagination and critical thinking, particularly in my primary school learners.

A proud graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, I bring a strong academic foundation and a deep love for teaching and working with children. With a degree in Foreign Languages and Commercial Terminology from the University of Arta and almost 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve dedicated myself to helping students discover that learning a language is about much more than grammar. It’s about opening new doors, finding their own answers, and embracing the journey of growth and discovery.

Teaching: a never-ending journey of fruitful discovery and gaining trust, where life-long relationships are built, shaken at times only to be built back stronger, goals are set and achieved, warm smiles are generously shared, fears are bravely faced, and salty tears are dried with comforting hugs. As a graduate of Hellenic American University with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, I lead the Administration at ELC Juniors HUB. Managing young learners requires a special mix of skills and empathy to truly see the world through their eyes. My mission is to create a warm, caring, and secure environment where children feel valued and develop manners that will stay with them for life. The best reward? When they stop by just to say, “Hello!” Juniors HUB is a place like no other—a space that captures everyone’s heart at first sight.

My natural love for communication, service, and interaction brings life to my role, ensuring the office runs smoothly. Strong organizational skills and a focus on time management have convinced me of the importance of proper planning. My eagerness to learn keeps me actively involved in everything I do. Empathy, as a core part of my personality, helps create a safe, trusting environment for students, parents, and teachers, fostering flexibility and understanding. The atmosphere at ELC Anifadis reflects a genuine interest in culture, the arts, and intellectual growth. With my background in the humanities, I firmly believe that children learn best when motivated by their own curiosity and interests. I have a natural talent for organization and crisis management, which I’ve further developed over 15 rewarding years at ELC Anifadis—a place that feels as supportive and close-knit as family. Working in administration, with its many responsibilities and interactions with a wide variety of people and organizations, can be demanding. Yet, the strong bond of trust I’ve built over the years with ELC inspires me to embrace and adapt to every challenge that comes my way.

At ELC, in an environment that fosters knowledge and personal growth through language learning, I support the school’s operations as a head secretary. With a degree in Communication & Media Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, I manage communication with parents and students as part of the team, ensuring the smooth running of the Vathy Hub. My goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall educational experience.

The beauty of the French language captivated me from the very first lesson I took at the French Institute when I was eight years old, and it led me to the Department of French Language and Literature at the University of Athens at the age of eighteen. Since then, teaching French has felt like a natural choice for me. Sharing the richness of the French language with students of all ages brings me joy and deepens my love for both the language itself and the rich history and culture of the Francophone world.

Teaching, to me, is so much more than passing on knowledge. It’s about helping students believe in themselves, building their confidence, and showing them the true value of learning a foreign language. Reaching their minds starts with reaching their hearts—understanding their concerns, earning their trust, and showing genuine interest in their growth. It’s about making them feel capable and inspiring them to believe they can achieve their goals, no matter the challenges ahead.

I am French and have always loved working with people, meeting new faces, and sharing knowledge across different fields. With a background in Art History, I’ve worked as a museum tour guide and exhibition coordinator. Two years ago, I had the opportunity to move to Greece, where I fell in love with the Greek culture and language. This journey led me to join the ELC team and start teaching French—a field that has quickly become a passion, thanks to their inspiration and support. I aim for my lessons to be a space where we share our cultures and learn from one another. I’m excited to continue growing as an educator and sharing the joy of learning a new language.

My studies in Spanish Language and Literature allowed me to explore the culture of both the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, connect with its richness, and share that joy with others. I feel fortunate to teach such a versatile and beautiful language, one that is inherently fun, full of nuances and unique expressions, and to witness my students discovering their own voices through it.
