Bringing Learning to Life

Our Wonder (WOW) Weeks are a cornerstone of our educational approach, transforming learning into an immersive, project-based experience. Three times a year, the entire school comes together to embark on interactive research and presentation projects. These weeks provide students with opportunities to step beyond traditional coursework, applying their language skills in innovative and meaningful ways.

Each year, the themes of WOW Weeks vary—either aligning with a broader "Theme of the Year" or exploring topics that spark curiosity and connect to real-world issues. The goal is to select subjects that resonate with students’ interests and are adaptable across all age groups and learning levels. From researching artists and developing solutions to global challenges to writing and filming original scripts or crafting imaginative legends, students engage in hands-on, creative learning that leaves a lasting impact.

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a dynamic approach that encourages students to actively explore real-world problems and challenges. Unlike traditional education models that often emphasize rote memorization and passive learning, PBL fosters deep engagement by allowing students to investigate topics of interest, pose meaningful questions, and develop practical solutions.

In a PBL framework, learning is student-centered. Teachers serve as facilitators, guiding students as they navigate their projects, collaborate with peers, and refine their critical thinking skills. This hands-on, inquiry-driven approach empowers students to take ownership of their learning, leading to a deeper understanding of the content while equipping them with essential skills for the future.

Our Wonder (WOW) Weeks have three phases:

• Discover Something New: Expanding students' knowledge and broadening their perspectives through research and exploration.
• Collaborate on a Project: Encouraging teamwork, idea-sharing, and role assignments to work towards a common goal.
• Produce & Present with Confidence: Empowering students to showcase their work and developing their public speaking skills through presentations.
