Learning Approach

How We teach

In the modern educational landscape, traditional methods of instruction are gradually being replaced by more interactive and engaging approaches, aiming to foster a lifelong love of learning—not just in English but in exploring the world around them. Our program is built on the principles of Concept-Based Inquiry and Project Based Learning, designed to encourage curiosity and a passion for discovery, building a solid foundation in language, topics, and essential skills.

We can't wait to welcome you to ELC Anifadis where learning is exciting and personal.

Small class sizes allow us to provide personalized support tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning style. We see teaching and learning as a shared journey—one that inspires, supports, and empowers every student to succeed.

While our approach prioritizes interactive and inquiry-based learning, our curriculum remains structured and carefully aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Cambridge English Scale. This balance ensures that while students develop curiosity and independent thinking, they also follow a clear, steady path toward language mastery. Over seven to eight years, they build strong skills and progress confidently—without the need for intensive summer courses or additional classes.

Here’s what our learning path looks like:

Classroom Experience

Our classroom experience is thoughtfully designed to reflect our educational philosophy

  • Engaging and Dynamic Lessons: We plan engaging and dynamic lessons, in a fun and interactive learning atmosphere.
  • Integrated Skill Development: The four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—are developed and integrated to offer a holistic learning experience.
  • Practical Application of Grammar: We emphasize the difference between 'knowing' grammar and 'using' grammar, enabling learners to gain confidence by applying English creatively.
  • Focus on Critical Thinking: Thinking routines are essential in our lesson planning, promoting critical thinking and deeper understanding.
  • Collaborative Learning Environment:We incorporate group and pair work to encourage students to collaborate, share ideas, and develop effective communication skills.
  • Constructive Feedback: Feedback is a key part of the learning process, providing students with valuable insights to enhance their skills.

Learning support

We offer targeted - one to one or small group – support to those students who need it. Part of learning support is the Homework Club, a free and supervised program which takes place 4 days per week at certain times. In Homework Club students have the chance to complete their homework and/or cover any missing classes, confident that they can ask for any support they need from the teacher who is supervising.
